Our service
THE CAR-BAR helps customers locate available cars through authorised dealers across India and coordinates the booking and optional delivery arrangements. The vehicle purchase is with the supplying dealership. The dealer invoices the vehicle and receives the vehicle purchase payments directly.
Availability depends on the particular car, variant, colour and dealer confirmation. An enquiry or website listing alone does not confirm a vehicle booking.
Dealership readiness
The car is expected to be ready at the dealership within 4 working days of invoicing, following pre-delivery inspection, washing and agreed accessory fitment. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline. It assumes the customer has made the required payment to the dealer by the agreed date.
Dealership readiness is not home delivery. Transport takes additional time, depending on the agreed arrangements. We do not offer an automatic voluntary premium refund or compensation solely for a delay while the car remains available. This does not restrict remedies available under applicable law.
For these policies, working days exclude Sundays and public holidays.
Optional transport
Customers may collect their vehicle personally or choose transport arranged through THE CAR-BAR. Available arrangements include truck transport or a driver driving the car to the customer's location, including urgent delivery requests.
The transport method, charges and transport terms are provided by email. We obtain the customer's email approval before pickup. Insurance information is shared before delivery, and the dealer explains the insurance coverage and terms. Relevant cover and exclusions must be reviewed before approving transport.
Accidental-damage claims are subject to the actual insurance policy and insurer's assessment. Under the proposed transport arrangement, applicable deductibles and amounts not covered by insurance are payable by the customer, except where applicable law or responsibility for the loss requires otherwise. Choosing optional transport does not waive claims concerning negligence or deficient service. No statement here guarantees that every accident or expense is insured.
Cancellations and customer rights
Premium and transport refunds follow the separate Cancellation and refund policy. Dealer-held funds follow the dealer's confirmed terms and applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer remedies concerning deficiency, negligence, unfair terms or misrepresentation.
